Thumbstones (Worry Stones)


Thumbstones, also called worry stones, are made of any type of crystal that can be easily carved in an oval shape with a thumb sized indentation.

Thumbstones are available in different designs, some with the indentation covering the whole surface of the thumbstone, and others with a smaller diagonal indentation so that it can be rubbed whilst resting on the index and middle finger.

Faced with a stressful situation, rubbing the stone is said to transfer energies from the stone which also absorbs the negativity associated with stress.

How to choose your Thumbstone

Depending what one wants to achieve, the best criteria of choosing a thumbstone, are its properties and size. As thumbstones are available in a variety of stones, choose the one who’s properties better address your needs. Some prefer smaller thumbstones, others bigger ones, but regardless of the size, they will always fit snugly in the pocket, so they can be easily carried around.
