Phoenix Chalice, handmade, beautifully detailed in black resin, hand painted in gold, blue, red and green. The chalice is presented in a bespoke box.

The Phoenix is best known from Egyptian mythology, as a bird of beautiful gold and red plumage, who lives a very long life. At the end of its life, the Phoenix builds a nest of cinnamon twigs which then ignites; the nest and the bird burn fiercely and are reduced to ashes, from which a new Phoenix will arise, thus it is represented as self-generating and called ‘the soul of Ra’.

It became popular in early Christian art as a symbol of immortality, resurrection and after-life death. Wear this pendant for a new beginning; rise again when all others didn’t think you can.
