Highly detailed vibrant jewellery box in the shape of a book, ornate with gold celtic knots and a owl holding a scroll.
The owl was part of many ancient cultures and its significance throughout time varied a lot. North American Indians believed that witches could assume the bodies of owls and fly about at night. In Africa, owls were thought to kill for witch doctors. In Europe, owl eggs were believed to be a cure for alcoholism, the ancient Greeks thought that the owl was the husband of Athena, the goddess of wisdom, and the ancient Celts revered the owl for wisdom and as a protector spirit.
Gifted with a great awareness of all that is around, with vision and great intuition, the owl is the totem for psychics and clairvoyants. It presides over prophecy and divination. As spirit ally of shamans, the owl shows them how to get to the cause of a problem.
The jewellery box contains two separate compartments.
Dimensions: 12 cm tall, 15 cm wide
