The Golden Dawn Tarot is an esoteric deck, based on the pictorial imagery used by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The artist, Robert Wang worked, under the direction of Israel Regardie, with card interpretations based on the writings of S. L. MacGregor Mathers.

The Order of the Golden Dawn was an active occult society in Europe for around ninety years and included amongst its members some of the foremost occultists and writers of the time. The deck was originally designed for the exclusive use of members of the Golden Dawn order, who were sworn to secrecy.

The pack includes a booklet written by Robert Wang, who in the introductory notes refers to the Golden Dawn Tarot as ”the only truly esoteric deck ever to be published.”. Wang notes that this is the deck from which some of the greatest esoteric writers of our age developed their ideas about the Tarot.

There are 84 cards in the pack. The traditional 78 cards are augmented by four blank white cards a card illustrating the positions on the Tree of Life, and a card listing in text the "Key to the Tarot on the Tree of Life”. The dimensions of the cards are 13cm by 8cm.
