Now we can confidently say that Vanessa, the flying witch doll, is one of the most modern of all Witches of Pendle. She’s been keeping quite well with the latest fashion trends. Wherever she is flying to, she is up to the occasion!
Or maybe is just a ‘treat’ to make her feel good, as there are quite a few worries gathered in all those wrinkles above the lips! Make-up, lipstick and bicycle glasses are all in place, but the expression on her face seems to be saying ‘What’s going on?’ – all highly detailed in porcelain.
As all the worries are to be faced up later, Vanessa is enjoying for now her attire so carefully chosen: body suit in dark blue satin decorated with black buttons at the elbows arms and knees and finished off with white, blue and grey fluff around the neck and wrists, light and dark blue skirt made of gauze shreds and also shredded underskirt made of voile with animal print, all held together at the waist with a belt made of voile in snake skin design. Even the porcelain shoes are very detailed with button decorations, buckles and even the tread line can be seen!
In her porcelain hand, Vanessa holds the traditional broomstick – so indispensable for travelling!
All in all, a beautiful porcelain creation, from our Witches of Pendle range, of high detail recommended for the collector and enthusiast alike. Collectables are not just for Halloween, but for every season in between!
Vanessa, the witch doll, measures 60cm long and can be hang of a transparent thread which is attached to the back. The witch has a complimentary copy of the Trial and History of the Witches of Pendle attached.
