The sterling silver Psyche Spirit Goddess Pendant is part of the Elements collection by Oberon Zell, renowned artist, writer and scholar in Wiccan, Pagan and all Nature religious based studies.
Since ancient times, the Elements used in the Western occult tradition are earth, water, fire and air- the fifth element of spirit was introduced in ancient Greek times. Each element represents a basic category of existence which can be traced in any experience. Nature spirits considered to be a manifestation of the five elements (or elementals), occupy a place in the angelic order below devas and are important entities in magical traditions like Wicca. Within this practice, magic circles divided into four quarters are cast, and elemental spirits are called upon to occupy the relevant parts of the circle.
Each element has its own energies and the associated nature spirits. Though the name and story of Psyche comes to us from a Greek legend, the origin of Psyche can be traced to Neolithic worship of Butterfly and Bee Goddesses. Such creatures who undergo a physical metamorphosis became symbols for the death of the body and rebirth of the spirit in a different form.
The magical symbolism associated with the Spirit Element corresponds to the space-time state of the matter. Some of the attributes of the Water Element are:

- Qualities: Union of all qualities
- Nature: Balance
