She’s beautiful and she’s got it all – that sums up the witch doll Casandra, the richest, happiest and carefree of all Witches of Pendle.
Surely she’s going out to an important celebration as she’s wearing her best evening dress. There is plenty of detail in her very elaborate outfit like the taffeta blouse in interchanging gold colours with bell shaped sleeves decorated with tan trimmings and a feathery touch! Her double skirt with top skirt made of gold sprinkled blue velvet decorated with voile trimmings in gold, burgundy and black. The underskirt is made of satin, crinkly blue taffeta, all decorated with tan trimmings and the very elaborate shawl in blue crinkly taffeta with tan trimming.
Of course the hat matches the rest of the outfit being made of blue crinkly taffeta and decorated with a large gold voile bow. What a riot of fabrics and trimmings! Needless to say that even the underpants are burgundy satin with satin trimmings, which enhance the unusual shoes.
She’s got a beautiful smile on her face – all highly detailed in porcelain. (Even the two pimples stand out...)
And not to spoil it all, she really rides her broomstick like a lady (her porcelain hands hardly touch it)!
All in all, a beautiful porcelain creation, from our Witches of Pendle range, of high detail recommended for the collector and enthusiast alike. Collectables are not just for Halloween, but for every season in between!
Casandra, the witch doll, measures 60cm long and can be hang of a transparent thread which is attached to the hat. The witch has a complimentary copy of the Trial and History of the Witches of Pendle attached.
