This wonderful hand carving of an elephant captures the strength of this magnificent animal.

Elephants are considered in many cultures to be symbols of good fortune.

Each piece is signed by the artist and is carved from Boxwood, a high quality hard wood which has been used by oriental artists since the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

Boxwood has a warm and rich warm color, giving an elegant and classic sense of aesthetic feeling.

The elephant carving can also be worn as a pendant as the carving can be threaded with a cord through the base.
