Bast Figurine depicting the Egyptian God associated with the Eye of Ra. Designed to the highest standards, in bronze resin, handpainted with Egyptian imagery in gold, turquoise and red.

The ornate collar depicts an Ankh cross and the Eye of Horus symbols and her entire body is covered in hieroglyphs.

Apart from joy, music and dance, Bastet is also the goddess of love, sex and fertility. Like the ferocious war goddess Sekhmet, Bastet was originally a lioness deity, but from 900BC she began to be represented as a cat, perhaps because of her gentle nature. She was sometimes depicted with kittens, which symbolised her role as a fertility deity. Mummified cats were often buried near her shrines.
