A
women in her mid-forties, the story goes, was killed in an
accident. As she floated up out of her body she saw a blazing
White Light approaching her, radiating perfect Unconditional
Love.
"Who
are you?" the Light asked.
"I
am Mrs. Alan Jones. My husband is a doctor," she replied.
"I
didn't ask who your husband was. I asked who you are,"
the Light said.
"I'm
a mother. I have three children: Jason, Joan, and Alyson."
"I
didn't ask who your children where. I asked who you are."
"I'm
an elementary school teacher. I teach grades three and four."
"I
didn't ask what work you did. I asked who you are."
"I'm
a Christian. I believe in Jesus Christ."
"I
didn't ask what religion you belonged to. I asked who you
are."
With
a shock, the woman realized she didn't actually know who she
was. "I can't answer that," she finally admitted.
With
infinite compassion, the blazing White Light sent her back
to earth, into a new body, in order to find out.
